Welcome to SABA

Bow hunters working for bow hunters

So what is SABA? Well in the words of one of our youth members "It's a community, like our school. But we love hunting and shooting our bows. We all help and the adults have to have long meetings. But we have gopher shoots and big parties to see all the harvests"

The Southern Alberta Bowhunters Association is an organization dedicated to archery and bow hunting as well as the community as a whole. The main goal is to provide opportunities for everyone to participate in archery in an effort to maintain a long-standing tradition of bowhunting in the Southern Alberta area.

In order to enter the awards you must be a SABA member prior to the first day of the season and the hunt must be considered fair chase. You must submit a picture of the animal harvested and animals must be submitted on scoring day (February) to qualify for our awards. For more information regarding the requirements to be entered read our Rules and Regulations

The award winners are then announced in March. Click here to see our 2021 Award Winners
