SABA Bowhunter SystemThis is the system that we use for our in-club awards. As you can see there are different small game, fish, migratory bird and big game classes that can be completed and what the requirement for each is. The Master Bowhunter and Pinnacle awards are based on your cumulative harvests and will take several years to achieve. SABA keeps a detailed record of all harvests submitted. |

Scoring Day

What a great season it was. We are working on the awards now, you can buy tickets to our awards banquet (March) online and we hope to see you there!
Please have your trophy's dropped off between 8:30am-11:30am. This will ensure there is time to complete the scoring. As well you will need to bring all trophy's, forms (found below) and pictures printed.
PLEASE ENSURE ALL HEADS ARE CLEAN AND NOT STINKY, or they will not be scored.
SABA Big game and Small game awards form
This is to be filled out in order to be considered for a variety of yearly and cumulative SABA awards. Many of these awards are designed to be accumulated throughout your life journey as a SABA member. We have also attached the various cumulative awards you are working towards. Please ensure to fill out this form in its entirety and bring it with you for scoring day. Leave the score blank and our lovely records committee will handle calculating points and adding in scores from our scorers. Both forms can be found here:

Attached are all of the pope and young score sheets for each respective animal. Please fill out one form per animal with all applicable information. Ensure that it is filled out correctly before bringing it in. Leave the score blank for our scorers to fill in. The pope and young sheets are here:

You will be responsible for submitting your own harvests and matching forms into ABA.
As a SABA member you are also eligible to enter your animals in the ABA awards. ABA usually holds a yearly banquet similarly to SABA. They also have cumulative awards that these animals can help you towards. For more information on this visit the ABA Website. This form must be filled in for each animal you have harvested. Again, please fill this out in its entirety. If you are unable to find your ABA Membership number look back through your emails, they usually send it to you. You must EMAIL SABA your photos of all harvests (visual proof of your harvests is required.) Please email all photos together if possible. ([email protected])
Contingency Plan
If you are unable to get your entries in on scoring day, you are able to enter score sheets from P&Y or B&C official scorers. These can be emailed to the club NO LATER than FEB 10th! Be sure to include all forms and Photos for SABA.
Example: If you killed a typical mule deer. You bring a pope and young mule deer score sheet, a SABA big and small game form with a mule deer filled out and any other applicable animals harvested in 2023. You will also have to submit a fully filled out ABA form for a typical mule deer to ABA find more information on their website.
Please Remember this is for members from 2023 for their 2023 bow harvests only.
